Premier League winners Manchester United knew they could rely upon MCL’s expertise when they needed the x-factor for the annual Manchester United Player of the Year Awards and End of Season Staff Ball, held over two consecutive days.

The stunning dynamic textured backdrop created for the event consisted of an impressive 2m high by 8m wide wall of Stealth medium resolution LED screen, displaying animated back ground graphics and award winners' names.

A widescreen projection canvas was then layered over this onto which additional graphics and video were played, two large screens were also positioned either side of the main stage area. These widescreens were controlled by our Spyder widescreen system ensuring the best viewing experience for all in attendance no matter where they were sitting.

MCL also provided full lighting and audio, as well as filming and recording the whole event and providing VT play back which was streamed and broadcast live by MUTV.

At one end of the room a wall of Versa TUBE 2m high by 7m wide was erected which was used as a backdrop to a star performance by RnB legend Beverly Knight.

In attendance were the Manchester United first team line up including some of the world's greatest footballers such as Christiano Ronaldo , Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic with awards presented by sports presenting legend Jim Rosenthal and the world’s fasted man Usain Bolt.

An event of this size and prestige demands perfect planning and execution, and Project Manager Darren Howard and the excellent team of technical and support staff at MCL Manchester were more than equal to the task.
